David Kelly is the founder of God's Promise Music and states "Somehow I always knew I would answer the call and sing for the Lord". David was born and raised in Monroe, LA. and is married to a wonderful and supportive wife Penny together they have two adult children and two grand children. I spent most of my childhood in church singing and playing Southern Gospel music. "Although I was brought up in church, I ran from GOD and His calling for most of my life. In October of 2005 GOD graciously saved me from myself and I surrendered my life to Christ and dedicated my life to the service of GOD and his ministry. He has put a new song in my heart and my mouth, and since then, it has been my desire to sing it, write it, play it and record it". The focal point of my ministry, Romans 10:9 &10 is clearly evident in song and testimony. I have been performing musically for many years but these days, however, I have left the bars behind and am using my talents honed in southern rock and country music to sing a different song. GOD has powerfully changed my life and my only desire is to share the story of GODS love and grace. In November of the same year I began to feel the mandate of GOD on my life, and the call into the music ministry. GOD has opened many doors and blessed me greatly by allowing me to minister through music as a Solo Artist and also as The Music Minister in a small country Church. In January of 2006 I asked GOD to broaden my ministry and give me more to do for his service. GOD once again began to open doors for me to preach and to acquire my minister's licenses with the Full Gospel Restoration Church and Ministries. It is an honor to be able to share the story of how GOD'S grace and love took the lowest of sinners and made me into something special for his glory. I have recently been traveling and ministering in song and testimony as a Solo Minister and also with a TRIO called "The Revived". GOD has made it possible for me to record my first project called 'Going Home' and I am in the process of putting together the music for my next project 'Under Control'. I am also currently looking for others with the call on their lives to join me in forming a live band. I have also served as the Vice President and the Editor for the SoutherNews; the Southern and Country Gospel Music Association for East Texas and Western Louisianan. I count it a real joy and truly a blessing to be able to sing GODS praises. I am a Born Again, Spirit Filled Child of GOD and I currently attend Westside Missionary Baptist Church in New Boston, TX. "My first and constant prayer is that somehow souls will be saved and hearts and lives will be changed though the songs I sing and my personal testimony of GODS saving grace." |
